My Process
01.
Initial Consultation
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if counselling feels like the right fit for you. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out — we’ll simply talk about what’s brought you here, what you’re hoping to gain, and any questions you might have about the process.
It’s also an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and whether you feel comfortable moving forward. Many people find that even just having this first conversation can bring a sense of relief and clarity.
Getting Started with Weekly or Fortnightly Sessions - Online
Once you feel ready to begin, we’ll agree a regular time that suits your routine. Sessions can take place weekly or fortnightly depending on what feels right for you — there’s flexibility to adjust this as we go.
Online sessions are held via a secure video platform, so you can access support from the comfort of your own space. All you need is a quiet, private environment and a stable internet connection.
Many clients find that online counselling feels just as personal and connected as meeting face-to-face — and for some, even more convenient and accessible.
03.
Check-In and Next Steps
As we move through your sessions, we’ll take time now and then to pause and reflect on how things are going. This is a space for you to share what’s been helpful, what’s shifted, and what you might need more of.
There’s no fixed path — some people find a few sessions are enough, while others choose to continue longer-term. Together, we’ll decide what feels right for you. You’re always in control of the pace and direction.
If you’re ready to take a break, bring things to a close, or focus on new goals, we’ll work through that together to make sure you feel supported at every stage.
